      <description><![CDATA[When I started my current job, they set a salary down in front of me and said this is what the job pays.  I, grateful to get offered the position, immediately accepted, signed the contract and started a few weeks later.  Thinking back I realize I probably should have negotiated the pay.  The thought of that is daunting.  How exactly do you go about negotiating salary in way that isn't going to seem ungrateful???  Thoughts..?]]></description>
